On the 5th of May 2025, we reached one year after our children attended the solemn Confirmation Service, led by our Bishop Rt. Rev. Dr. Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian, in which they entered the full communion of the church. All glory to the Lord!
An online meeting of those who were confirmed in the service was held on the same day after one year to get the feedback of the children and reassure them that the congregation continues to pray for them.
In the informal discussion, the children recollect the day they received the first holy communion and the journey for the last year. It was encouraging to hear that they understood the deeper meaning of holy communion. Some said that they feel fear and reverence when they attend communion, while almost all agreed that they feel the presence of the Holy Spirit. One of them rightly pointed out the communion they enjoy with other believers too while having the communion with the body and blood of Jesus Christ. They feel that the holy communion strengthens them spiritually and emotionally. All of them vouched that they repent their sins before they join the Lord’s Table.
The main intention of the meeting was to reassure them that the church still prays for them and that their spiritual well-being is a concern of the church. The Vicar, on behalf of the congregation, reiterated that the community of the believers, parents, relatives, and the leaders of the church always stand with them and hence there is no need to think at any point in time that they are lonely, dejected and helpless.
