The badminton doubles tournament organized by Youth Movement was held on October 20th, 2024, at Al Masah Sports Center in Sharjah. The event brought together a total of 23 teams, with 16 teams competing in the men’s category and 7 teams in the women’s category. The tournament showcased the athletic talent and camaraderie within the community. Participants demonstrated exceptional skill, agility, and sportsmanship throughout the matches.
In the men’s category, Abu Oommen Joseph and Mebin Philip emerged as the champions, displaying remarkable teamwork and precision. Sam Benjamin Thomas and Sunil Johnson put up a strong fight, securing the runner-up position.
In the women’s category, Tisha Jose and Annie Mathew claimed the title, showcasing their dominance on the court. Benila Priju John and Preenu Jacob gave a commendable performance, finishing as runners-up.
The tournament’s success was made possible by the enthusiastic participation of members from all church organizations. The presence and support of the church committee members were invaluable in ensuring a smooth and enjoyable event.
