The Jubilant Harvest Festival of CSI Parish, Sharjah, was Attended by Thousands of People
”… Celebrate the Harvest Festival, to honor the Lord your God, by bringing him a freewill offering in proportion to the blessing he has given you.” Deuteronomy 16:10-20
The Harvest Festival 2023 of the CSI Parish, Sharjah, was celebrated with jubilant fellowship and fun and frolic at the church on 22nd October. The Festival was rich with the submission of resources that were considered the blessing of God, various food stalls where traditional Kerala cuisines were served, games, and cultural programmes. The flash mob based on the Christian songs was a big hit while the fashion show of the tiny tots was a heartening show for all. Members of the church presented songs, solo drums percussion, and other programmes. A professional team sang Christian devotionals and a Magic show marked the end of the programmes.
In the morning, the matins service was led by Rev. Sunil Raj Philip, the vicar of the parish. Rev. Raju Jacob, Vicar of Dubai CSI Parish, Rev. Charles M. Jeril, Vicar of Jebel Ali CSI Parish, Rev. Renjith Oommen John, Asst. Vicar of Sharjah Mar Thoma Church, Rev. Shiju, Vicar of Evangelical Church in Sharjah, and Pr. Wilson, Chairman of SWC gave felicitation speeches during the harvest festival programmes. Thousands of people from various walks of life attended the festival.
