Dealing with Life’s Stressors: A Counselling Session Enriches CSI Youth in Sharjah

On April 27th, the Youth Movement hosted an empowering session titled “How to Deal with Life’s Stressors,” led by Mrs. Priscilla Mathew, a student counsellor from Dubai.

The meeting began with an opening prayer by Mr. Joel Jo Korah. The members participated in a praise and worship session conducted by the youth chorus, followed by a reading from the Psalms by Mr. Alan Lawrance T., and an intercessory prayer led by Mr. Kiran Vijay Das.

This session was designed to help individuals navigate the pressures of everyday life with greater resilience and confidence. Participants learned to identify stressors, explored the causes and effects of stress, and gained practical techniques such as mindfulness, time management, and positive thinking. The session equipped attendees with valuable tools to manage stress effectively, build emotional strength, and balance personal and professional demands. Biblical examples of how individuals handled stress were also discussed, highlighting what we can learn from their experiences.

Following the meeting, Mr. Obin K. Joseph, the secretary, delivered the announcements, and Mr. Obi Thomas concluded the session with a closing prayer. Snacks were provided to attendees at the end of the meeting.
