The CSI UAE Youth Kalamela 2025, joyfully hosted by the CSI Parish (Malayalam), Abu Dhabi, on Monday, December 1st, was a vibrant gathering that brought together nearly 200 youth members from the Abu Dhabi, Jebel Ali, Sharjah, and Dubai parishes. The day was filled with fellowship, enthusiasm, and a spirit of healthy competition.
The event was inaugurated by Rev. Biju Kunjummen and Rev. Charles M Jeril, who reminded the gathering that every talent we possess is a gift from God and should be used for His glory. They emphasised that the Youth Kalamela is not only a platform for showcasing skills but also an opportunity to nurture unity, friendship, and sportsmanship among the parishes.
Throughout the day, participants demonstrated exceptional talent across a variety of individual and group events, including Singing, Extempore, Mono Act, Skit, Quartet, Instrumental Music, Mime, and Group Song. Their dedication and energy made each performance memorable. CSI Parish Sharjah emerged as the overall champion, securing the highest points across multiple categories.
All four vicars from the participating parishes graced the event with their presence, offering prayers, encouragement, and unwavering support to the youth. Their leadership and guidance contributed greatly to the success of the Kalamela.
We also extend our sincere thanks to the CSI Parish (Malayalam), Abu Dhabi, whose dedicated volunteers and organising members worked tirelessly behind the scenes. Your hospitality, efficiency, and wholehearted involvement ensured that the Kalamela was conducted smoothly and meaningfully. A special word of gratitude goes to the UAE Youth Committee for their exemplary planning, coordination, and teamwork. Their commitment was instrumental in bringing this event to life.
