The third and final day of VBS 2026 – The Jesus Journey was held on Sunday, 5 July 2026, beginning at 10:30 a.m. It was started with an opening prayer by Rev Jacob George. The day marked the culmination of the three-day spiritual journey, giving the children an opportunity to reflect on all they had learned and to dedicate their lives to Jesus Christ. It was a meaningful time of worship, thanksgiving, and commitment as they were encouraged to continue walking faithfully in the footsteps of Jesus.
Students, teachers and volunteers actively participated in Sunday worship and prayer. Following the service, they gathered for a short break before assembling for a vibrant session of praise and worship. Through joyful singing, action songs, and thanksgiving, the children prepared their hearts for the final session of the VBS.
The highlight of the day was the Dedication Session and Altar Call. The children were ecouraged to reflect on the lessons they had learned throughout The Jesus Journey—from the birth of Jesus, His ministry, His sacrifice on the cross, and His resurrection—to His call for every believer to follow Him wholeheartedly. During the recap session, they revisited the key Bible truths taught over the three days and were reminded that following Jesus requires faith, obedience, love, and a willingness to deny oneself and live for Him. A special time of prayer and commitment was held, giving the children an opportunity to dedicate their lives afresh to Christ. Many students committed their lives to Jesus.
During the dedication session, the Director shared three important messages with the children, encouraging them to continue living as faithful followers of Christ even after the VBS. He urged them to:
1. Spend time with the Lord by reading the Bible daily and praying regularly.
2. Love others by showing kindness, compassion, and the love of Christ in their words and actions, by asking themselves, “If Jesus were in that situation, how would He respond?”
3. Always remember who they are—children of God—and live in a way that reflects their identity in Christ.
Following the dedication session, the VBS 2026 Report was presented by Convenor Merin Mary George, highlighting the activities, learning experiences, and blessings of the three-day programme. This was followed by the Vote of Thanks. Convenor Alice Abraham expressed heartfelt gratitude to God for His guidance and protection throughout the VBS. Appreciation was also extended to the Vicar (Achen), Director, coordinators, teachers, volunteers, parents, singing team, and everyone who contributed their time and efforts to make the VBS a success.
The programme concluded with the Closing Prayer and Benediction, seeking God’s continued guidance and blessings upon every child. A group photograph was then taken as a joyful remembrance of the event before the children were dispersed. Finally, a brief review meeting was held with the Achen, Director, and teachers to evaluate the programme, share feedback, and thank God for the successful completion of VBS 2026 – The Jesus Journey. Teacher’s photo was taken. A token of appreciation and love was presented to the VBS director.
The third day brought the VBS to a blessed conclusion, as the children were encouraged to continue walking with Jesus, living out His teachings, and sharing His love with others.
All praises to God Almighty
