Sharjah CSI Parish celebrated Almaya Sunday (Laity Sunday) on 29.10.2023 in a befitting manner. The parish vicar, Rev. Sunil Raj Philip, led the Holy Eucharist service. Various parts of the worship service were led by the members of the Almaya Fellowship and their family members. Mr Johnson Thomas (Jyoti), Secretary of Abu Dhabi CSI Parish and an eminent academician delivered the sermon on the theme ”Witness of the People of God”. He said that this witness is revealed in Daniel 3: 27,28. The names of Hananiah, Mishael and Azariah, the Jewish boys who were caught in the Babylonian exile, were changed to Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego to suit the Babylonian culture, but their faith did not change. We see King Nebuchadnezzar acknowledging the living God when he saw the fourth angel in the burning furnace. Mr Johnson Thomas wished that everyone would be able to stand in the midst of crises as a witness like these three boys.
Alamaya Fellowship of CSI Parish, Sharjah, was happy to announce its decision on the Laity Sunday to provide substantial financial assistance to ten cancer patients. The support that the Almaya Fellowship is extending for a missionary in the Bhilai Mission was also brought to the attention of the congregation.
In the meeting of the Almaya Fellowship, which was held after the holy communion service, Mr. David James was given a farewell on his transfer to Saudi Arabia. Mr. David was the Secretary of the Alamaya Fellowship during 2019- 2022 and did a commendable job. Those who attended the meeting wished God’s choicest blessing upon Mr David while he took up the new responsibility in Saudi Arabia and expressed their feeling that his absence in the Sharjah CSI Parish will definitely be a loss to the Almaya Fellowship of the Parish.

ഷാർജ സി.എസ്.ഐ. പാരിഷ് അല്മായ ഞായർ ആഘോഷിച്ചു
ഷാർജ സി.എസ്.ഐ. പാരിഷ് അൽമായ ഞായറാഴ്ച വിപുലമായി ആഘോഷിച്ചു. ഒക്ടോബർ 29 നു നടന്ന അൽമായ ഞായർ ദിനാഘോഷത്തിന് ഇടവക വികാരി റവ. സുനിൽ രാജ് ഫിലിപ്പിന്റെ നേതൃത്വത്തിലുള്ള വിശുദ്ധ സംസർഗ ആരാധനയോടുകൂടി തുടക്കമായി.
ആരാധനയുടെ വിവിധ ഭാഗങ്ങൾക്കു ഇടവകയിലെ അൽമായരും കുടുംബാംഗങ്ങളും നേതൃത്വം നൽകി. അബുദാബി സി.എസ്.ഐ. പാരിഷ് സെകട്ടറിയും അക്കാദമീഷ്യനുമായ ശ്രീ ജോൺസൻ തോമസ് (ജ്യോതി) അൽമായദിന സന്ദേശം നൽകി. ദൈവ ജനത്തിന്റെ സാക്ഷ്യം എന്നതായിരുന്നു ചിന്താവിഷയം. ദാനിയേൽ 3:27,28 വാക്യങ്ങളിൽ ഈ സാക്ഷ്യം വെളിപ്പെടുന്നു എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം പറഞ്ഞു. ബാബേൽ പ്രവാസത്തിൽ അകപ്പെട്ടുപോയ യഹൂദാ ബാലന്മാരായ ഹനന്യാവ്, മീശയെൽ, അസര്യാവ്‌ എന്നിവരുടെ പേരുകൾ ബാബേൽ സംസ്കാരത്തിന് അനുയോജ്യമായ വിധത്തിൽ ശദ്രക്ക്, മേശക്ക്, അബെദ്- നെഗോ എന്ന് മാറ്റിയെങ്കിലും അവരുടെ വിശ്വാസത്തിനു മാറ്റമുണ്ടായില്ല. എരിയുന്ന തീചൂളയിൽ നാലാമനായി ദൈവദൂതനെ കണ്ട നെബുഖദ്നേസർ രാജാവ് ജീവനുള്ള ദൈവത്തെ അംഗീകരിക്കുന്നത് നാം കാണുന്നു. മൂന്ന് ബാലന്മാരെപ്പോലെ സാക്ഷ്യം ഉള്ളവരായി പ്രതിസന്ധികളുടെ മധ്യത്തിൽ നിൽക്കുവാൻ ഏവർക്കും സാധിക്കട്ടെ എന്ന് അദ്ദേഹം ആശംസിച്ചു.
ഷാർജ സി.എസ്.ഐ. അൽമായ സംഘടന പത്തു ക്യാൻസർ രോഗികൾക്ക് സാമ്പത്തിക സഹായം നൽകുന്നതിന് എടുത്ത തീരുമാനം അൽമായ ദിനത്തിൽ പ്രഖ്യാപിച്ചത് ശ്രദ്ധേയമായി. ഷാർജ അൽമായ സംഘടന ഭിലായി മിഷനിലെ ഒരു മിഷനറിയെ പിന്തുണക്കുന്നതും അല്മായ ഞായറിൽ സഭയുടെ ശ്രദ്ധയിൽ വീണ്ടും കൊണ്ടുവന്നു.
വിശുദ്ധ സംസർഗശുശ്രൂഷയ്ക്ക് ശേഷം നടന്ന അൽമായ സംഘടനയുടെ യോഗത്തിൽ 2019- 2022 കാലയളവിൽ സംഘടനയുടെ സെകട്ടറിയായി വിശിഷ്ടസേവനം ചെയ്ത ശ്രീ. ഡേവിഡ് ജെയിംസിന് യാത്രയയപ്പു നൽകുകയുണ്ടായി. ശ്രീ. ജെയിംസ് ജോലി സംബന്ധമായി സൗദിയിലേക്ക് പോകുന്നത് അല്മായ സംഘടനയ്ക്ക് ഒരു നഷ്ടമാണെകിലും ദൈവം ശ്രീ. ജയിംസിന്റെ ജീവിതത്തിൽ കൂടുതൽ അനുഗ്രഹങ്ങളെ നൽകട്ടെ എന്ന് യോഗത്തിൽ പങ്കെടുത്തവർ ആശംസിച്ചു.
