On Sunday, April 13th, Rev. Riju Mathew graciously joined the Women’s Fellowship meeting and shared a heartfelt and inspiring message based on Luke 19:34, which says, “The Lord needs it.” At the beginning of his message, Achen sang two beautiful Kannada devotional songs, which added a warm and soulful touch to his sharing.
He thoughtfully referred to the example of Mother Monica and her son Augustine to highlight the power of a mother’s prayers in shaping generations. Through his gentle and meaningful testimonies, Achen encouraged us to remain faithful and serve the Lord wholeheartedly, regardless of the circumstances we may find ourselves in.
Our Vicar, Rev. Sunil Raj Philip Achen then offered a brief introduction to the activities and charitable outreach of the Women’s Fellowship, highlighting the support extended to individuals and institutions in need, especially those facing challenges and crises.
The Secretary, Mrs. Jancy Biju, extended a warm welcome to all present, with special greetings to our esteemed guest, Rev. Riju Mathew Achen. Our Women’s Fellowship President, Nivi Kochamma, who presided over the meeting, conveyed the vote of thanks, expressing our heartfelt gratitude to Achen for graciously accepting our invitation despite his busy schedule, for joining us, and for sharing God’s Word with us.
In her message of thanks, Kochamma also lovingly reminded us that many fellow believers back home in India may not be able to afford new clothes. She encouraged everyone to check if they have good quality, gently used or unused clothes at home, which could be collected and sent to bless those in need.
