The 25th UAE Women’s Fellowship Conference was held in all its grandeur on October 18th, 2025, at CSI Parish, Sharjah. It was by the abundant grace of Almighty God that this conference was conducted successfully and blessedly.
The meeting began with the opening prayer led by Rev. Sunil Raj Philip, Vicar of the Sharjah Parish. The conference was further adorned by the melodious songs of the Women’s Fellowship Choir and a beautiful welcome dance performed by the members of the Women’s Fellowship.
The conference was inaugurated with the flag hoisting by Dr. Jessy Sara Koshy, President of the Madhya Kerala Diocese Women’s Fellowship and wife of the Rt. Rev. Dr. Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian, Bishop of the Madhya Kerala Diocese.
The worship session that followed was led by Mrs. Nivi Susan George, President of the Sharjah Women’s Fellowship. Women’s Fellowship Vice-President Mrs. Mercy Anil then extended a warm welcome to all.
The official inauguration of the conference was carried out by Dr. Jessy Sara Koshy. Following this, a lamp lighting ceremony was conducted by Dr. Jessy Sara Koshy, Prof. Dr. Anju Soson George (the first woman Principal of CMS College, Kottayam), Rev. Sunil Raj Philip, Mrs. Nivi Susan George Kochamma, Rev. Biju Kunjummen, Mrs. Ancy Rachel Mathew Kochamma, Rev. Raju Jacob, Rev. Charles Jeril, Mrs. Lesley Veena Joy Kochamma, and Mrs. Jancy Biju Thomas (Conference Convener).
Later, a special felicitation presentation by the Rt. Rev. Dr. Malayil Sabu Koshy Cherian, Bishop of the Madhya Kerala Diocese, was held.
The theme presentation was delivered by Prof. Dr. Anju Sosan George, the first woman Principal of CMS College, Kottayam, based on Matthew 15:28, focusing on the topic “Emunah.” Her inspiring message beautifully highlighted the strength of faith and divine promise that guided women through their spiritual journey.
As a gesture of gratitude and honour, mementoes were presented to those who had been part of the conference over the past 25 years, recognising their dedication and service.
In connection with the conference, the Sharjah Women’s Fellowship released a special souvenir magazine titled “Snehitha.” The first copy was released by Dr. Jessy Sara Koshy, who handed it over to Prof. Dr. Anju Sosan George.
The day was further enriched by cultural programs presented by various parishes, showcasing their talents and unity in Christ. Prizes were distributed to the winners of the Theme, Theme Song, and Logo Competitions, which were conducted as part of the conference activities.
The Business Session was chaired by Mrs. Moly Jacob, President of the Dubai Women’s Fellowship.
The conference concluded with the Vote of Thanks delivered by the Conference Convener, Mrs. Jancy Biju Thomas. The benediction and closing prayer were offered by Rev. Raju Jacob, Vicar of the Dubai Parish. The meeting came to a graceful close at 4:00 PM. The conference truly became a blessed and memorable event, reflecting the divine guidance and unity of all who worked together for its success.
