Strengthening Teens: Building Resilience, Confidence, and Faith

The Teenagers’ Meeting held on 30 August 2025 became a memorable and enriching experience, highlighting emotional well-being, self-awareness, and healthy personal growth. The session was led by Dr. Siji Raveendran, Clinical Psychologist, Transformational Mind Coach, and Author, with 31 enthusiastic teenagers joyfully welcomed into the program.

The gathering began with an opening prayer by Master Shaun Kurian Pradeep, setting the tone for the day. Miss Doreen Sara Derrick extended a warm and thoughtful welcome, while Miss Aksa Mariam Shibu and her team led a spirited singing session that created a reverent and inspiring atmosphere.

Our Vicar, Rev. Sunil Raj Philip, delivered the Presidential Address, underlining the significance and purpose of the meeting. The highlight of the day was the main session titled “Unfiltered Games, Talks, Real Life”, conducted by Dr. Siji. Through an engaging combination of discussions, interactive activities, and games, she addressed vital aspects of teenage life—self-confidence, resilience, peer pressure, emotional well-being, and building positive relationships. Participants were encouraged to share openly, making the session deeply personal and practical.

The program was gracefully anchored by Miss Angela Ann Varghese, ensuring a smooth flow throughout. At the conclusion, Mrs. Manju Abraham, Teens Coordinator, delivered the vote of thanks, followed by prayer and benediction led by Rev. Sunil Raj Philip. A fellowship lunch, lovingly arranged by the church committee, added warmth and joy to the day.

For the first time, a feedback form was circulated among participants, and the responses were overwhelmingly encouraging, with teens expressing their appreciation for the session’s relevance and impact. A group photograph marked the occasion, serving as a reminder of a day filled with inspiration, growth, and fellowship.

We give thanks to God for blessing this gathering, which left a lasting imprint on the hearts of our young people.
