As the Parish Vicar, it was a deeply satisfying experience to successfully plan and execute a New Year fellowship gathering for members working in Sharjah and neighbouring emirates who live in shared accommodation, away from their families. Given the practical difficulties in conducting pastoral visits to their residences, this event was organised to reassure them that the Sharjah CSI Church cares for them and holds them close.
The gathering took place at the Rolla Empire Hotel meeting hall and concluded with a fellowship lunch. A church member who wishes to remain anonymous provided financial support for the event.
The arrangements were led by Sharjah CSI Youth Movement Vice-President Mr. Abu Joseph Umman and committee member Mr. Vijay Joseph. Mr. Mobin Thomas organised engaging games, ensuring the active participation of everyone present.
We look forward to organising more such opportunities in the future to spend time together, share experiences more deeply, and uphold one another in prayer.
