ദൈവവചനത്തെ സൂക്ഷ്മതയോടെ അനുധാവനം ചെയ്യുന്ന കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ
ഷാർജ സി.എസ്.ഐ. പള്ളിയിലെ കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ അത്ഭുതകരമായ താലന്തുകൾ ഉള്ളവരും ദൈവകൃപയിൽ വളർത്തപ്പെടുന്നവരുമാണ്. ചില കുഞ്ഞുങ്ങൾ ഞായറാഴ്ചയിലെ പ്രസംഗങ്ങളുടെ കുറിപ്പുകൾ എടുക്കുന്നത് ശ്രദ്ധയിൽ പെട്ടപ്പോഴാണ് അവർക്കു ഇടവക വികാരിയുടെ വകയായി ഒരു സമ്മാനം കൊടുക്കുന്നതിനെക്കുറിച്ചു ഞാൻ ആലോചിച്ചത്. റീലുകളുടെയും മറ്റും പുതിയ കാലത്തു ഇരുപതു മിനിറ്റ് പ്രസംഗം കേട്ട് കുറിപ്പുകൾ എടുക്കുന്ന കുട്ടികൾ ഒരു ഹൃദയാവർജ്ജകമായ കാഴ്ചയാണ്. വർഷാവസാനം പ്രസംഗക്കുറിപ്പുകൾ എഴുതിയ ബുക്കുകൾ സമർപ്പിച്ച കുട്ടികൾക്ക് കഴിഞ്ഞ വർഷം ഉപഹാരങ്ങൾ നൽകി. ഞങ്ങളുടെ സൺഡേ സ്കൂളിൽ മൂന്നു വയസ്സിൽ നഴ്സറിയിൽ ചേരുന്നത് മുതലുള്ള 206 കുട്ടികളാണുള്ളത്. ഈ വർഷം അവരിൽ 39 കുട്ടികൾ പ്രസംഗക്കുറിപ്പുകൾ സമർപ്പിച്ചു! ഈ നോട്ടുബുക്കുകൾ കാണണം. വളരെ ഭംഗിയായി ഏഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നവയാണ് എല്ലാം തന്നെ. പ്രൈമറി ക്ലാസുകളിലെ കുട്ടികൾ പോലും പോയിന്റ്സ് എല്ലാം എഴുതിയിരിക്കുന്നു. പ്രസംഗത്തിൽ കാണിക്കുന്ന സ്ലൈഡുകളിലുള്ള ചിത്രങ്ങൾ പോലും ചില കുട്ടികൾ വരച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു!
ഇത് ഷാർജയിലെ എന്റെ അവസാനവർഷമായതിനാൽ കുറച്ചു പേർസണൽ ടച്ച് ഉള്ള സമ്മാനങ്ങൾ നൽകണമെന്ന് ആഗ്രഹിച്ചു. സർട്ടിഫിക്കറ്റ് കമ്പ്യൂട്ടറിൽ ഡിസൈൻ ചെയ്തെങ്കിലും കുറച്ചുകൂടി സമയം ചെലവഴിച്ചു ചെറിയ തടിക്കഷണങ്ങളിൽ ‘Vicar’s Award’ എന്ന് കൈകൊണ്ടു എഴുതി. (കുറെ നാൾ കൂടിയാണ് ബ്രഷ് കയ്യിലെടുക്കുന്നത്)
പരീക്ഷ കാരണം രണ്ടു പേർക്ക് വരാൻ കഴിഞ്ഞില്ല. ആരാധനയ്ക്ക് ഒടുവിൽ നടന്ന ചടങ്ങിൽ ബാക്കി കുട്ടികൾ അവാർഡ് ഏറ്റു വാങ്ങി. ഹൃദയം നിറഞ്ഞ നിമിഷങ്ങൾ.
അടുത്ത വർഷം കൂടുതൽ കുട്ടികൾക്ക് ഇതൊരു പ്രോത്സാഹനം ആകുന്നുവെങ്കിൽ ഏറെ സന്തോഷം!
Young Minds Attentively Embracing God’s Word
The children of the Sharjah CSI Parish are blessed with remarkable talents and are being nurtured in divine grace. I was noticing some children taking notes during Sunday sermons that prompted me to think about presenting them with a special gift from the Vicar.
In this modern age of social media “reels” and short attention spans, witnessing children intently listening to a twenty-minute sermon and taking notes is truly a heartwarming sight. Last year, gifts were awarded to those children who submitted their sermon notebooks at the end of the year.
Our Sunday School has a total strength of 206 children, starting from three-year-olds in the nursery. This year, an impressive 39 children submitted their sermon notes! These notebooks are a must-see; they are all written so beautifully. Even children in primary classes have jotted down the key points. Some children even went as far as drawing the images shown in the sermon slides!
Since this is my final year in Sharjah, I wished to give gifts that had a bit of a personal touch. Although I had designed a certificate on the computer, I spent some extra time hand-painting ‘Vicar’s Award’ onto small wooden plaques. (It had been quite a while since I last picked up a paintbrush).
Two children could not attend due to examinations. The remaining children received their awards during a ceremony held at the conclusion of the worship service. These were truly fulfilling moments. It would give me great joy if this serves as encouragement for even more children to participate next year!
